Milton Snavely Hershey One of a Kind By Charles Schuyler Castner - 1983
Of all the books I've read (so far) about Milton Hershey, this is the most complete. It contains information -- important and interesting information -- not available anywhere else. Like most of the other books, it presents him as a larger-than-life figure, but hey, this guy accomplished more than most people could even imagine. He was larger than life.
But he was also a man. And this book never loses sight of this fact. Unlike others it attempts to separate the historical facts from the legends. And, the book concedes, this isn't always possible.
This book was published by the Derry Literary Guild.
